STATUS UPDATE ON CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECT

Assessment of NET for Decreasing Traumatic Stress Symptoms in Cancer Survivors, Co-Principal Investigators Drs. Dan Monti and Andrew Newberg

The final steps of patient recruitment and care are in the process of completion. In late May / early June, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital saw a spike in patient recruitment in response to a presentation to the Jefferson Cancer Survivorship Group and it is anticipated that all patients will complete their treatment by early August. The research team will then begin their analysis.

Once the statistical analysis has been competed, including assessment of the pre- and post-fMRI images, the research team will commence with the writing and publication of this historic research study. The article will be submitted to the highest quality peer-reviewed journal possible. We anticipate the study will be published in early 2016.

In preparation for the study’s publication, ONE is working on public relations and outreach strategies to share the findings of this groundbreaking study.
