Dr. Scott Receives Icak's "George Award"
/This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Applied Kinesiology (AK). On June 21st at a meeting hosted by the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) Dr. Scott accepted the award on behalf of himself, Dr. Deb and NET practitioners everywhere. He said, “This award is special. It symbolizes the tremendous energy and industry put forth by NET practitioners worldwide and their support of the ONE Research Foundation.” He went on to say, “ONE validates what NET Practitioners do every day for themselves, and more importantly for their patients.”
The “George” award is the highest award given at the annual ICAK meetings; so named due to the global love and admiration for George Goodheart, founder of AK (b. 1918 – d. 2008) “George”, as he was affectionately called, inspired Dr. Scott with his methodological approach, his many insights and practical applications of the manual muscle test (MMT). Dr. Scott has often said, “George Goodheart taught me how to think.” He continues, “From the first time I met Dr. Goodheart at Palmer in 1965, until he passed, and to this very day, I never lost any respect for him or his enormous contributions.” Dr. Debie, who also was a student of Dr. Goodheart, says, “I totally agree with Dr. Scott and feel honored to have known the greatness of Dr. Goodheart.” It was from Goodheart that the Walkers’ very foundational MMT knowledge came and it was a key element as they developed NET.
The foundations of this new era in healing are still being established, and the current NET research conducted at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, through the ONE Research Foundation, will fortify the practice for a long time to come. In the words of Dr. Walker, “If you are reading this article its very likely you have contributed to this new century of healing. This award says you can rightly take a pat on the back! We at the ONE Research Foundation certainly salute you.”
