VOLUNTEERS HELPING CHRISTCHURCH TO HEAL

In its 2nd year, Heal Christchurch is a collaborative event to bring healing to the people of Christchurch, NZ who were impacted by the destructive earthquakes of 2011. In 2012 Dr. Scott Walker and volunteer practitioners from New Zealand and Australia came together to treat those whose health and wellbeing were impacted by the devastating earthquakes. In Nov. 2013 volunteers will again work to heal the local communities. Dr. Walker described last year’s event as the highlight of his professional career. ONE encourages interested practitioners to volunteer.

Periodically we receive reports from our practitioners and supporters regarding the benefits of ONE’s research; below are a few we’d like to share. 

A practitioner member recalls that she delivered a public healthcare talk during which a member of the audience, a neuroscientist, asked if there was research supporting the facts presented in the speech. Our doctor replied, “Absolutely, and here they are!” The inquisitive neuroscientist became a patient. YAHOO!!

New Research on Manual Muscle Testing & Therapy Localization

The ONE Research Foundation is providing funding for a new research study: Reliability and Validity of Therapy Localization in Applied Kinesiology II: Conformation and Generalizability of Outcomes. The literature describing the interobserver reliability in manual muscle testing as practiced in applied kinesiology is sparse and inconsistent. That describing the validity is even weaker, existing in less than 5 papers. This study will provide critical missing pieces to the literature of applied kinesiology.

The ONE Research Foundation is proud to be funding a pilot study to help validate the use of BPS/NET to help cancer survivors become less physiologically reactive to distressing stimuli and to become more capable of choosing alternative responses. Doing so could lead to healthier outcomes and potentially favorably impact modifiable risk factors for cancer recurrence.
